A sailor and an ocean lover since infancy, Julien holds an M.Sc. in Electro-Mechanical Engineering and a 2nd M.Sc. in Naval Architecture. Besides his well rounded technical background, Julien is also trained on the business side. He studied international business and has lead energy focused strategic marketing projects in a multinational. His early career took him across Europe, South America and Asia where he was project manager for a major Singaporean shipyard.
He has been researching & developing solar & hydrogen power for boats since 2008 and has transferred this knowledge into real vessels able to make ocean passages without fossil fuels.
Julien's life journey is dedicated to the protection of the Earth and its inhabitants, he speaks fluently 6 languages and is a certified Yoga teacher.

He carries out scientific researches in the area of marine hydrodynamics, structure strength, and smart ship technologies. The outstanding resources of computing hardware, commercial and in-house codes, experimental facilities and also a pool of researchers are a strong support to our continuous hull optimization.
His intensive research & model testing has enabled Azura Marine to create the most highly efficient hulls possible.
